Manifesto

Why children need preparation, protection and guidance in an AI world.

This is the first generation growing up alongside artificial intelligence.

For the first time, a technology does not follow a child's development. It arrives first, answers instantly, and sounds certain.

Children are not asking for permission to use it. They are already asking it questions they would once have asked an adult.

So the question is not whether to keep AI away from them. It is whether they are prepared for it, and whether the adults around them have any way to help.

We believe preparation comes before control. Judgement is built by practising real situations safely, not by removing them.

We believe protection must not depend on reading a child's private conversations. Safety and privacy are not a trade-off we accept.

We believe schools and families are allies, not opponents. They need clarity and shared language, not dashboards of a child's inner life.

If this generation is going to grow up with artificial intelligence, let it grow up prepared — with judgement, with support, and without surveillance.
